GLDAS Forcing Datasets

This page provides information for forcing and land surface datasets used in GLDAS. Tables are given to summarizes attributes of the data and links to original data sources as well as web pages describing additional procedures for data processing and usage.

The GLDAS-1 simulations distributed from HDISC were forced with a combination of GDAS, disaggregated CMAP, and AFWA radiation datasets listed below. The GLDAS-2 simulations also distributed from HDISC were forced with the Global Meteorological Forcing Dataset from the Princeton University. The datasets used in the GLDAS products are indicated in the right most column of the table below.
