-- Redoing NLDAS precip forcing for the period 01 Oct 96 to 01 Feb 02 to use

the PRISM adjustment and least squares distance weighting (which realtime

NLDAS forcing started using in Feb 02) plus restrospective

simulations

 

-- Princeton, Goddard, and OHD deliver improved land model, so we can rerun

all 4 land models from 01 Oct 96 to present realtime, i.e. getting all four

models running again in realtime with recent model improvements and using

the improved precip forcing from the above bullet.

 

-- Canopy conductance experiments to reduce 3 SVAT models' disagreement in

latent heat flux over the vegetated eastern half of the CONUS

 

-- reprocess the GOES solar radiation from 01 April 2003 through July 2003,

to fill in for the deterioration arising from switch of GOES-East from

GOES-8 to GOES-12 (UMD doing the work?)

-- other parameter estimation runs over limited areas (see canopy
