NLDAS-E Land/Sea Mask and Latitude/Longitude

This section contains land/sea mask data, identical to that used by NCEP's operational Eta model.

NLDAS-E 12 km land/sea mask for the North American Domain NLDAS-E Land/Sea Mask

The following file consists of X, Y, Latitude, and Longitude coordinates, as well as 1 sea mask value for every NLDAS-E 12 km resolution grid point. The sea mask values are "0" for land and "1" for water. The data values and coordinates are centered on mass points on the Arakawa-E grid. The file can be read using readmask.f.

NLDAS-E Ice Mask

The image and data file in this section contains the NLDAS-E ice mask over the NLDAS-E domain.

NLDAS-E 12 km ice mask for the North American Domain Example NLDAS-E Ice Mask

The following file consists of one "ice(1) or no ice(0)" value per 12 km bin, and the values are centered on mass points with respect to the Arakawa-E grid. The file can be read using readrealparm.f.
