What's New At GLDAS
GLDAS output are now available from the NASA Goddard Earth Sciences Data and Information Services Center (DISC)
-The new Hydrology DISC portal enables both ftp and Mirador access to GLDAS datasets. Spatial and temporal subsetting capabilities will be implemented in the coming months to simplify processing and reduce data transfer and storage burdens
GLDAS products available from the GrADS Data Server (GDS)
-GLDAS products are now provided to the GrADS Data Server (GDS) users. GDS users can perform subsetting and analysis operations without first downloading data. The GLDAS GDS information page will direct you to the locations where GDS enabled GLDAS data are stored.
WESP-GLDAS Working Group
- GLDAS is a new component of the GEWEX Hydrometeorology Panel's (GHP) Water and Energy Simulations and Prediction (WESP) Working Group. The first report of WESP-GLDAS is available from http://www.gewex.org/pan-gewex_meeting.htm under the list of GHP working groups. The purpose of WESP-GLDAS is to coordinate global land modeling activities and share data, towards the goal of improved understanding and prediction of the land surface water and energy cycles at the global scale. We encourage you to contact Matt Rodell if you are interested in this activity and wish to join the working group.
